Spillrite Explosion-Proof Vacuum Cleaners are ATEX certified and CA certified safe for use in hazardous locations as part of a combustible dust control program and are suitable for most flammable and combustible waste. Spillrite vacuums are certified under ATEX directive for Europe and also CA EX which will be the new directive for the CA which comes into effect in 2022. These standards are for equipment approved for use in explosive atmospheres.
The Spill Air Vac (SPAV) is a mobile pneumatic vacuum unit designed for rapid spill control, both wet and dry and explosion proof. Units are manufactured from stainless steel and hard plastic for the Poly vac model.
This model is built with a fully stainless steel tank using 304 stainless steel and alloy lid and silencer.
This model is ideal for use in the food processing sector and can be upgraded to fully grounded EX version. Explosion proof vacuum cleaners particuarly when powered by compressed air provide the highest safety rating and are intrinsically safe. As the vacuum power is created through the venturi principle and there are no moving parts, there is no friction or heat created in the process.

The Spillrite Drum Lid Vac can be configured in a variety of power settings. The most powerful is 300 cfm of compressed air. The DLV units are also designed to be able to reverse pump out fluid. Through the unique design of the venturi's there is no possibility of the drum over pressurising as all excess pressure is released through the thoat of the venturi.
When the lock band is secured, the lid and the drum become grounded to the earth and provide a complete circuit which will release any build up of static electricity. This explosion proof vacuum is widely used within the gas and oil industry.
